Arthur Cooper Interview notes on Eventual Millionaire

Full service internet marketing company.  SEO, Paid Search, Website design, reputation management.

No matter how great your website is, if nobody knows it exists its not going to do you any good.  SEO, Paid search, reputation management is how to turn that around.

Bought a franchise.  Buying a franchise = Buying a system.  You still have to produce the clients.  You still have to sell and market.

Hundreds of clients for SEO and you’ll be at the top.  A lot of interaction, back and forth, collaboration, but really fulfilling.

there is no relationship between product knowledge and success in selling it.  It is what those products do for the client that equates to success.

Central importance: You need CONSTANT new fresh content, whether well written content (blog posts), videos or podcasts, that is a good sign of a good SEO company.

On average (includes copywriting)
For local SEO: At least a $1,000/month.

For national SEO: More like 4 times that.

Off-site optimization!  Are you doing that?  Social media management and research, podcast interviews, mentions, backlinks, +1’ing, tweets, things that drive traffic to your site.

I will pay off London's hospital bill.  Done.

I will get Ashlee's crown replaced.

I will buy a 10 inch tablet.  Done.

I will buy a new car.  Done.

I will get down to 160lbs or less or a little over a 1 lb/month in weight lost.  Done...and back up a lil, but it got done this year, which is cool.

I will go on a date with Ashlee once per week.

I will go serve in the temple once per month.

I will go on an awesome 5 year anniversary trip with Ashlee.  I want it to be a cruise.  Cruise booked! (updated 11/9/16)

I will start a successful business.  That may include buying a business.  Done...we've helped my father in law get an additional 15-20k in business for his painting business this year.

I will make gross at least $100,000 this year.

I will buy a cash flowing rental property.

I will own 1,000 ounces of silver.

I will meet with Tyler once per week to discuss our financial progress.  This dropped off partway through the beginning of the year because of crazy schedules.

I will read one investment book each month.

I will blog about the books I've read.

I will finish the book of mormon again this year.  Done.

I will hire employees in my business.  Done.

I will buy a home in Bountiful that Ashlee wants to live in forever.  Done.

I will make sales call everyday.  Definitely not done and won't be.

I will figure out how to make savings an active everyday thing in my family.

I will figure out how to gamify growing our net worth.

Bounce Back Big in 2016

I'm reading this short book and am going to use it pound out some posts here.

If there weren’t any obstacles in your way and you knew that anything you did, you would be successful, what would you do?

I'd be excited to go to work.  I'd be excited to have people on my team.

What would you accomplish?

I'd be buying lots of companies and finding as many partnerships as possible to help me buy them.  I'd employ a lot of people and help them reach their full potential.

What would you have in your life?

I'd have nicer things.  I'd have a nicer car or cars.  I'd have a nicer home.  I'd have a new wardrobe.  I'd travel more too.  I'd get a nice new cell phone and a tablet and a nice gaming computer and maybe some consoles.  I'd sign up for a physical trainer.  I'd sign up for more counseling for myself or wife or with us together.

Who would you have in your life?

I'd have more friends and family working with me.  I'd have more friends that were business owners and not trading time for money.  I'd likely have deeper friendships with everyone as I imagine I'd have more time to connect and visit and interact with people.

How would you be living your life?

Fearless.  I'd open up to people more.  I'd try and help people more.  I'd do more service.  I'd take my kids out on dates.

I’m so grateful I’m on the road to financial independence.

So I'm committed to becoming a millionaire or more by January 2020.  With that declaration I've had some interesting insights into money as I and others think of it.  I'm excited for what is to come, but am nervous for the discomfort and growth that is going to come with it as well.  I think I want to start posting my insights here for documentation.

I’m so grateful I’m on the road to financial independence.
